Why Does It Take About 1 Month to Produce a Custom Badge?

Many customers ask me: “Why does a custom badge take about 1 month to complete?”

The answer is straightforward: High quality takes time.

At Badgesets.com, every badge is made-to-order according to your specific pictures, text, and requirements. We never rush the process because we want you to receive a premium, long-lasting product. Here’s exactly why it takes around 1 month:

1. Design Confirmation (2–4 days)

After receiving your order, we first create a professional digital mockup based on your provided images, text, badge number, and logo. We send it to you for approval. Only after you confirm 100% satisfaction do we move to production. This step prevents any later changes.

2. Zinc Alloy Casting (5–7 days)

Once approved, we proceed with zinc alloy die-casting. This material gives the badge its solid, heavy, premium feel and allows for sharp, detailed molding.

3. Carving, Polishing & Plating (7–10 days)

The casted pieces go through precise hand-carving to refine details, followed by multiple rounds of polishing. Then we apply high-quality electroplating (gold, silver, or two-tone) to achieve that beautiful, durable metallic finish.

4. Hard Enamel Coloring (5–8 days)

This is one of the most important and time-intensive steps. We carefully apply multiple layers of hard enamel by hand for the background, text, and symbols, then cure them properly. The result is vibrant, professional colors that stand the test of time.

5. Final Assembly & Strict Quality Check

We attach the pin and backing, perform final polishing, and conduct a thorough quality inspection before packing and shipping.

Time Well Spent

We could make faster, cheaper badges — but they would feel thin, look less sharp, and fade quickly. We choose the longer route to deliver badges you’ll be truly proud of.
